Mani apologizes to Rudra and Kali for causing their separation and for not comprehending Malla’s intentions. She appeals for punishment and kneels before them. Rudra convinces Mani and along with Kali, recognizes Mani’s actual awareness of his mistake. He says that Mani will now serve as Sivagana and protect the Shiva temple at Jejuri with the blessings of Shiva Shakti. Mani shows gratitude and cries “Har Har Mahadev” together with the locals, repenting for disrespecting Shiva Shakti.
When Pradhan apologizes for his hurtful remarks about Shiva Shakti. Kali responds politely, thanking Pradhan and his wife for their love and support and expressing happiness over his birth and their family’s bonding in Jejuri. Rudra then says that the moment has come to free Jejuri and terminate Malla’s dominion, leading to a united chant. Rudra and Kali proceed to confront Malla.
Upon being told of his coming, Malla professes preparedness to meet Shiva Shakti, while Diti, dreading death, renounces him. Rudra and Kali beat Malla’s warriors and meet Malla directly, whereupon Malla acknowledges his misdeeds and his helplessness. He reminds Kali of his pledge to protect her and begs her to take her life, leaving Malla in a dilemma over breaching his vow. As Rudra prepares to do justice. Kali intervenes and declares her intention to protect Malla, representing the greater intricacy of duty, vachana and bhakti.
