He admits that all the duties of the wedding were his, but the Shah family carried them. Parag appreciates Prarthana for taking up every obligation on his behalf and urges Ansh to always take care of her. He offers Prarthana the missing pendant, which makes her sad, and explains that he regrets marrying her to Gautam.
Sharing his anguish with the Shah family,
Parag recalls that he raised up Prarthana like a princess, believing that Gautam would treat her like a queen. But fate had something else in store. Her marriage went apart due of the mistakes that no parent wants their child to suffer.He says that his worst error was dismissing the hardships of prayer for the sake of a business deal and not opposing the wrong connection. Anupamaa calms her and adds that it was not her fault, but destiny’s. Still, Parag feels terrible, but compliments the Shah family, knowing that Prarthana is lucky for their unconditional affection.
He promises Prarthana that he would always be with her, but Anupama reminds him that parents should console their daughters to relieve their anguish at the time of parting. affection proudly declares him the best parent, and both he and Prayer show their affection for him. With a heavy heart, Parag gives over the prayer to Anupama and Ansh, and blesses the pair before falling into tears.
Anupamaa soothes her, explaining that she has every right to grieve and ease her burden. She assures Parag that Prarthana is now his daughter now, compliments the values he established in her, and vows that Vasundhara and Khyati would also finally accept the truth. She calms him with her conviction that everything will be OK.
